= Sunday, only the Branch President spoke during Sacrament today. A member led Sunday School. Home, we had chicken salad, banana pudding, and blueberries. I napped and blogged. Steph cooked pork purchased frozen from Takoradi long ago; we had it with mixed vegetables and fried mimosas.
= Since we had hot oil in the pan, we fried some Festival Colored Prawn Crackers; they look like thin, slightly warped plastic discs not quite as big as a quarter. The discs puffed to a warped cup shape five times their original size: flavored rice cakes! Pulling them out of the oil, Steph accidentally splashed her ring finger. She put ice on it and got her rings off before it swelled.
= Monday, our truck was picked up for maintenance and was unexpectedly kept overnight. We had our last weekly meeting with the Morgans. Home, we watched Sunday on Monday; then I blogged. After bed, I woke back up and watched Facebook until 0230 in the living room. Science stuff pulls me in; I see more of that than of people [sigh].
= Tuesday, I blogged at home. At 5, we joined the Office Elders and Assistants and the Dimmicks for one last meal together with the Morgans. Brother Bright was there also. Discussion was kept light-hearted.
= Wednesday, I heard chanting as I loaded the truck: one, two, three.. Workers were failing to push a cement mixer up a dirt incline to where it needed to be. I went next door to the Elders and said: "You decide whether you want to get involved with this, but I want you all to see it." When Steph and I came out of our apartment, Elders were streaming to the site. They made immediate progress, getting the equipment to where it needed to be used.
= At 12:15, President and Sister Tachie-Menson arrived with their two youngest sons. We hung around the office until 7:15, when the Morgans came to say goodbye.
= Thursday, I learned that Google Maps lets you add private labels to places on the map, labels that only your account can see. I passed the discovery to Elder Bingham, who promptly used the coordinates (that I've been improving) to mark every missionary apartment.
= President Tachie-Menson told Steph he needed an antibiotic; the pharmacist at Goil by KFC turned him down because he didn’t have a prescription. We're pretty sure that's because the pharmacist saw his missionary name tag and knew that serious drugs for missionaries needed to go through Steph! [grin] She got it.
= The in-person transfer meeting will be discontinued; instead, Office Elders and Assistants to the President will deliver new missionaries, SIM cards, and funds to locations where they're needed. This is a sweeping change; at 0130, I awoke and suggested two plans they might follow to get this done.
= Friday, we drove to a lab and paid for a missionary's procedure. At the office, we expected to meet with the Mission President; that didn't happen. We delivered medication to a missionary and picked up spaghetti (with fried egg and vegetables).
= Steph doesn't think she can finish enough hours soon enough to keep her AFAA [fitness] certification. My CISSP won't be a problem, but whether I use it after our mission is an open question.
= We watched Star Trek - Next Generation on the iPad (downloaded previously). We relaxed.
= Saturday, I worked on the journal. We learned that the amount it will take to repair the renters’ damage is roughly equal to all the rent we have received (net) from them. I finished and sent my updated version of the Twi manual to the Campbells and Dimmicks. I've been working on this for more than a year. We watched Sunday on Monday while we ate mac and cheese with pork.
To church

Translation of the song lyric finishes... {And you have done right}.

Someone's drainpipe ends at the drainage ditch. Let's hope it's gray water.
Now the candy comes.
We are the future.
Involve youth in decision making today.

Divine Selection. I think our mission would have been much more difficult for us if we were not in our current assignment
The covenantal name of God in the Hebrew Bible is written with the four consonants: Yodh He Waw He. This name is known as the Tetragrammaton (Greek for "the four letters"). - University of Pennsylvania
The four letters of the Tetragrammaton form the root meaning “to be,” and some have understood the original meaning to be “He-Who-Is,” or “He who brings being into being.” - MyJewishLearning.com

Fresh construction blocked our exit from the post office. I yielded the wheel to Steph, who backed out several blocks to a point where we could turn around..
